Here’s this week’s Lap Band patient tip from an actual
patient I saw this week.
The patient that shares this tip has gone a long way. He
started off weighing about 470 pounds. He has lost 80
pounds since his surgery which was a year and a half ago
and while he was stuck in a rut for a while, he is now on
the right track.
He told me that he has instituted a new rule, which I
think is responsible for a lot of his recent weight loss success.
“I won’t eat unless I am at a table.”
He says his new rule means that he won’t eat in the car anymore, and
therefore doesn’t go through drive-thrus. He won’t get a snack at the gas
station to munch on in the car. If he goes to a high school ballgame, he
doesn’t eat anything there.
Other places you might be eating away from the table:
- At work, grabbing a some candy off of your desk or a co-worker’s desk.
- Eating a snack in a chair at home while watching TV.
- At the mall while shopping.
- Snacking in bed before going off to sleep.
Try this tip. Don’t eat away from the table for 10 days.
I bet it will work very well for your weight loss goals.
