I am a 34 year old mother of 6. I am currently a college student. I also have Medicaid. I am 5′ 8″ weigh 270+ lbs, I eat a healthy diet and I am very active. I cannot seem to lose the weight, instead I gain weight. My mother was morbidly obese when she died 5 years ago from a massive heart attack. My BMI is over 40 and my regular doctor says that I need to put the fork down and exercise more. That doesn’t help me at all. I don’t eat much because I am afraid to. I’m lucky if I eat twice a day, I am very busy. I have tried every diet out there and every exercise plan and they all have failed. I gain more weight. I have had a cholecystectomy, a right adrenalectomy and a tonsillectomy. I want to lose the weight to be healthier for my kids and family. What do I need to know about Medicaid paying for it and do I qualify for weight loss surgery. HELP PLEASE!!!!
